Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities - the National Council on Social Welfare of Thailand
Canon Marketing (Thailand) Co., Ltd. recently presented a Canon EOS 200D digital camera with an EF-S 18-55mm f/4-5.6 IS STM lens and 3 sets of Canon PIXMA G2010 inkjet printers with full-color ink cartridges, valued at total THB 44,714, to the Office of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities - the National Council on Social Welfare of Thailand under The Royal Patronage (NCSWT). In addition, an online training session on basic camera usage was also organized for related staff of the Office. The purpose of this support is to help people with disabilities who have already been rehabilitated to earn income for themselves and their families. The Office of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities assists in selling products made by the disabled, including donated and repaired items and the proceeds from the sales of these products are used to contribute to the development of the disabled.
Currently, the Office of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities has expanded its sales by promoting their products via online channels, and cameras as well as printers have become necessary in the professional development of people with disabilities to fulfill the demand of the online market. Canon donated a set of digital camera for the Office to take beautiful photos of products and printers to print purchase orders, delivery orders and other necessary documents. This support is aimed at helping improve disadvantaged people’s quality of life, based Canon’s Kyosei philosophy that focuses on “living and working together for the common good”.
