Canon presents digital cameras and printers to Thai Institute of Chemical Engineering and
    Applied Chemistry as part of project on water conservation and
    utilization of water hyacinth for sustainability

    Canon Thailand group companies led by Canon Hi-Tech (Thailand) Ltd. , Canon Prachinburi (Thailand) Ltd. and Canon Marketing (Thailand) Co Ltd, recently presented Canon digital camera, inkjet and laser printers, and full sets of cartridge to the Thai Institute of Chemical Engineering and Applied Chemistry, Faculty of Engineering, Chulalongkorn University, for use in the development of water hyacinth fibre production through Green Production-certified process and the development of community products to replace plastic use. All equipment were presented by Phongthep Prasertvoranun (third right), Assistant Director for Corporate Communication at Canon Marketing (Thailand), and received by Prof Dr Paisan Kittisupakorn (third left), the Institute’s President, at the Faculty of Engineering, Chulalongkorn University.

    The presentation was part of the “Canon Water Conservation and Utilization of Water Hyacinth for Sustainability” project, a collaboration between Canon Thailand and the Thai Institute of Chemical Engineering and Applied Chemistry on improving water hyacinth fibre production through eco-friendly process and producing manual on the development and promotion of plastic replacement products made from water hyacinth to obtain the Thai Community Product Standards (TCPS) certification. The project has been implemented at Nong Kruabun Community Enterprise in Phachi district of Ayutthaya province to realise the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of Canon Thailand group companies.
