EF800mm f/5.6L IS USM

This 800mm super telephoto lens has the longest focal length*1 in the world for lenses equipped with image stabilization. Since long telephoto lenses are highly susceptible to colour aberrations, the construction includes two fluorite elements as well as one super UD and one UD element. This minimizes aberrations, resulting in sharp, high-contrast images. Furthermore, the arrangement of the coated elements reduces lens flare and ghost, which often cause problems when using digital cameras, and provides excellent colour balance. Despite the 800mm focal length, it is highly portable thanks to an advanced optical design and magnesium-alloy body. Comparable in size yet noticeably lighter than the EF600mm f/4L IS USM and easy to use, this 800mm lens is well suited for photography from a monopod. Additionally, the image stabilizer reduces camera shake by approximately four full shutter speed steps*2. Offering AF stop, focus preset, full-time manual focus and a dust and drip-proof design*3, this addition to the Canon EF L-series is great for getting the perfect shot, even in extreme environments.
