The 26th Canon Volunteer activity promotes sufficiency economy,
    self-dependence and food security in Suphan Buri local community

    Canon Marketing (Thailand) Co., Ltd. recently organised the 26th Canon Volunteer activity to spread the knowledge of sufficiency economy, self-dependence and food security in communities. In this activity, the company’s President and Chief Executive Officer - Mr. Hiroshi Yokota led Canon employees and their children, totalling 50 persons, to learn about integrated farming at the Lifestyle and Spirit of Thai Farmers Learning Centre (Na Here Chai) in Suphan Buri province, and to promote self-dependence among teachers and students of Wat Uthum Pararam School in Don Pho Thong sub-district through learning sessions on making hygienic alcohol-based hand sanitizing gel, creating pedal-operated washbasin from aluminum gallon to reduce risk of Covid-19 infection, producing herbal glycerin soap, making Thai dessert Look Choob, and growing mushrooms and vegetables in discarded containers for extra income and food security in the community.
