The world’s first*1 ultra-wide-angle 10mm zoom lens further expands the ultra-wide-angle range of the EF11-24mm f/4L USM. It includes aspherical and Ultra-low Dispersion (UD) lens components to provide clear photos with minimal color bleeding, even in the corners of the image. The lens weighs approximately half as much as the EF11-24mm f/4L USM (lens only), yet offers equivalent or better image quality. The lens is also equipped with an in-lens optical image stabilizer that allows hand-held shooting in dark venues, and long-exposure (slow shutter) shots. The lens is also compatible with Canon’s first-ever Peripheral Coordination Control*2 *3 function, which corrects the peripheral blurring that often plagues wide-angle photography. Air Sphere Coating (ASC) also greatly reduces the chance of lens flare or ghosting. The possibilities for image expression are limited only by the imagination of the photographer.
*1 As of October 10, 2023, for AF-compatible interchangeable zoom lenses (excluding fisheye lenses) for 35mm full-frame SLR-type cameras. According to Canon survey.
*2 This function is available on compatible cameras (EOS R5 with ver. 1.9.0 or later, as of October 10, 2023), only when the Movie Digital IS is turned off.
*3 Use of Movie Digital IS is recommended when recording videos that involve a lot of panning or considerable screen shake.
