The 300mm f/2.8L, which has become a favorite among professional photographers, is now available as a zoom lens. The RF100-300mm f/2.8L IS USM lens covers both telephoto and super-telephoto range, offering the features of several conventional, single-focal-length lenses in a single compact and lightweight design. At just 2,590g (approx.), it is the lightest*1 f/2.8 zoom lens with a maximum focal length of 300mm, and compatible with a full-frame sensor. The lens uses a single fluorite element and four Ultra-low Dispersion (UD) elements to deliver high image quality comparable to that of a single-focal-length L lens, at maximum aperture setting and throughout the zoom range. The lens alone offers image stabilization equivalent to a 5.5-stop*2 increase in shutter speed. Two nano Ultrasonic Motors (USM) allow the lens to capture fast moving objects with high focusing accuracy. This flagship zoom lens employs the latest optical design to fully leverage the characteristics of the EOS R system. It offers a significant advantage in capturing decisive moments in all genres of photography, including sports and news photography.
