Canon donated old books to the Mirror Foundation
Canon Marketing (Thailand) Co., Ltd. led by Ms. Nontarom Thamtarana, Senior Manager QEHS Department delivered more than 1,000 pieces of used books which are donated by Canon staff to the Mirror Foundation under Read for Thai Project for the eighth consecutive years and the donated old books will be passed on to people in need or sold to raise fund on 31 January 2023.
This activity represents one of the company's environmental conservation efforts aiming to raise the awareness about reuse of waste materials and reduction of greenhouse gas emission. In terms of the reduction of carbon dioxide emissions, which is regarded as a major cause of global warming, this activity could reportedly reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 1,358 kgCO2e for sustainable environmental conservation.
