    "Aluminum Donation Project for the Making of Prosthetic Limbs for the Disabled”

    Mr. Phongthep Prasertvoranun - Director of Corporate Communications Department, Canon Marketing (Thailand) Co., Ltd., represents employees of Canon Group of companies in Thailand to hand over aluminum ring pulls weighing 15 kilograms, donated from Canon employees and employees of KWE-Kintetsu World Express (Thailand) Co., Ltd., its logistics partner, to the Pollution Control Department, Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment to support “the Aluminium Donation Project for the Making of Prosthetic Limbs for the Disabled,” which the Pollution Control Department has collaborated with the Prostheses Foundation of HRH the Princess Mother.

    Canon Marketing (Thailand) Co., Ltd. always promotes employee’s awareness in waste sorting for recycling process through its various CSR activities. All donated aluminum ring pulls will be passed on to the Prostheses Foundation of HRH the Princess Mother for the proper upcycling process. They will be used as raw materials for making prosthetic limbs or raising funds for the acquisition of prosthetic devices, including sockets, axes, shins, prosthetic feet, and walking sticks for further assistance to the disabled and the elderly.
