    Canon Group in Thailand donated used calendars to make braille books for the Blind

    Canon Group in Thailand, namely Canon Marketing (Thailand) Co., Ltd., and Canon Prachinburi (Thailand) Ltd. collected used calendars, total weight at 169 kilograms from their employees and donated them to the Environment Department to pass on to the Foundation for the Blind in Thailand under the Royal Patronage of H.M. the Queen for the education of the visually impaired, represented by Mr. Prapas Lueangsirinapha, Director General of Environment Department, Ms. Nitsara Thamchevevong, Director of Policy and Planning Division and Ms. Supaporn Kittiwarodom, Chief of Participation Promotion Section at Environment Department, Bangkok City Hall, Din Daeng on 30 January 2024. The project used calendars contribution for the visually impaired was held for the fourth year. This activity represents one of the company's environmental conservation efforts aiming to raise awareness about reuse of waste materials and reduction of greenhouse gas emission. In terms of the reduction of carbon dioxide emissions, which is regarded as a major cause of global warming, this activity can reportedly reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 365.69 kgCO2e for sustainable environmental conservation.
