Canon Organizes Educational Guidance Activities and Donates Printer, Sports Supplies
to Baan Mahamek Home for Boys
The CSR activity aims to promote education among underprivileged youth,
empowering them to enhance their quality of life and forge a bright future.
Canon Marketing (Thailand) Co., Ltd. (Canon), led by Mr. Phongthep Prasertvoranun, Director of Corporate Communications and CSR, and Ms. Thanyalak Khwaniam, Assistant Director of Human Resources, together with 12 Canon employees, organized another edition of the Canon Volunteer activity aimed at promoting well-being and supporting underprivileged youth. The team provided educational guidance to the young individuals residing in Baan Mahamek Home for Boys. In addition, Canon supports Baan Mahamek with Canon PIXMA G2010 printer and ink, as well as laptops generously donated by Material Automation Co., Ltd., to support educational endeavors. To promote an active lifestyle among youth, Canon also donated sports equipment and supplies. Furthermore, Canon hosted a lunch for all 170 Baan Mahamek boys.
Mr. Phongthep Prasertvoranun, Director of Corporate Communications and CSR, Canon Marketing (Thailand) Co., Ltd., said, “Canon has been consistently organizing CSR activities with a focus on supporting local communities and protecting the environment. In this latest edition of the Canon Volunteer initiative, we aim to provide educational guidance for underprivileged youth by introducing them to general or vocational education programs. This allows them to explore how they can further their education. The guidance session for 24 young men aged 14-16 years emphasized the significance of education and skill development as crucial factors in securing future employment and building a stable career. At Canon, we firmly believe that human resource development is key to fostering societal progress.”
