Canon organized the third edition of its “Khuat Im Boon” project where employees of Canon’s group of companies in Thailand and KWE-Kintetsu World Express (Thailand), Canon’s business partner, were encouraged to collect and sort used plastic bottles. The company then donated them to Wat Chak Daeng in Phra Pradaeng District, Samut Prakan Province. The donated bottles will go through a recycling process and transform into fabric which will later be made into monastic robes, blankets, and other clothing products. A total of 200 kilograms of PET bottles were collected and donated to the temple during the campaign.
A part of Canon’s green efforts, this project aimed at raising awareness of waste recycling and reducing plastic waste to help preserve the environment and reduce carbon emissions. The CSR activity is in line with Canon’s global environmental goals to create a more sustainable world for future generations.
