"Canon Volunteer" Activity Uplifts Underprivileged Youth
By Providing Essential Supplies to the Foundation for Slum Childcare in Klong Toei
Canon Marketing (Thailand) Company Limited (Canon), led by Mr. Hiroshi Yokota, President and Chief Executive Officer, together with the company’s volunteer staff, organized the latest edition of the Canon Volunteer activity. The group donated a Canon EOS M50 digital camera with lenses and Canon PIXMA G2010 Printer, as well as household items and school supplies such as powdered milk for children, disposable diapers, school bags, sports equipment, and developmental toys. These donations were presented to the Foundation for Slum Childcare under the royal patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Galyani Vadhana Krom Luang Naradhiwas Rajanagarindra at Baan Som Wai (Klong Toei Community). The CSR outreach aims to alleviate the hardships faced by underprivileged youth in slum communities, promoting their health and well-being.

We provided support to the Foundation for Slum Childcare in Klong Toei community which plays a crucial role in assisting many underprivileged children.
In addition to donating a high-quality camera and printer to support the foundation's operations, Canon’s employees also raised funds to provide essential items for the children. We believe in supporting the youth by ensuring they develop age-appropriate skills, as they will play a vital role in the sustainable development of the country.”
Established in 1981, the Foundation for Slum Childcare operates under the royal patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Galyani Vadhana Krom Luang Naradhiwas Rajanagarindra at Baan Som Wai in the Klong Toei Community offers care and support to children, ranging from infants to five years old, residing in Lock 12 of the Klong Toei community. These children face substandard living conditions and often suffer from neglect and abuse due to social challenges. The foundation is dedicated to providing these children with essential nourishment and proper care while fostering learning opportunities across various fields. Its goal is to enable children to grow and develop in a healthy manner. This CSR activity aligns seamlessly with Canon's Kyosei philosophy, which centers on working together in harmony for the common good.
