Canon Delivers Aluminum Lids from Recyclable Waste Sorting
to the “Creating New Steps… for Life” Project for the 4th Consecutive Year

Canon Marketing (Thailand) Co., Ltd., led by Ms. Busarin Tangsilpaolan, Corporate Communications and CSR Manager, represented the company in handing over aluminum rings and lids collected from waste sorting and recycling efforts by employees throughout the year 2025. The total amount of 12 kilograms was delivered to the Pollution Control Department, Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, as part of the “Creating New Steps… for Life” project, now in its 4th consecutive year. The materials will be properly upcycled and processed into prosthetic limbs by the Prostheses Foundation under the patronage of Her Royal Highness, the Princess Mother, for the benefit of people with disabilities.
At Canon, we value sustainable environmental conservation as well as the awareness of waste sorting among employees and family members through various CSR activities. This project is also one of our efforts to sort the hard-to-decompose materials into the upcycling process to transform them to new materials. Upcycling helps reduce resource consumption and reduce CO2 from transportation and production processes and ultimately reduce waste. 12 kilograms of aluminum ring pulls and can lids donated help reduce CO2 emission by 109.52 kgCO2eq.
Canon hopes that this continuous environmental activity will help bring Thais closer to the achievement of reducing greenhouse gas emissions with the effort to "limit" and "eliminate" greenhouse gas emissions into the atmosphere and move towards the Net Zero society soon.
