Canon Reinforces Leadership in Thailand’s Large Format Printer Market in H1 2026
with 43% Market Share, Leading CAD and Graphic Arts Segments

Canon, a global leader in imaging technology, has reinforced its success in Thailand’s printing market, with its large format printer portfolio ranking No. 1 in both the CAD and Graphic Arts segments. Canon captured a combined 43% market share from January to June 2026, according to International Data Corporation (IDC), a global market intelligence firm headquartered in the United States. The achievement underscores Canon’s position as a leading printing technology and innovation brand trusted by users.

This achievement further underscores Canon’s strength in Thailand’s large format printer market. After making history in 2024 by ranking No. 1 across all 3 printing segments, with a 39% overall market share, including 42% in Graphic Arts and 39% in CAD/Poster, Canon has maintained its growth momentum, expanding its overall market share to 43% in the first half of 2026.

Ms. Netnarin Chancharassuk, Senior Director - Consumer Imaging Information Product Group of Canon Marketing (Thailand) Co., Ltd., said, “Canon’s large format printers have been well received across a wide range of industries because we offer more than just printers. Our comprehensive printing solutions combine water-resistant ink for precise lines and long-lasting colors, printheads with micron-level ink droplet control, and image processing systems that deliver consistent, efficient print quality. They also include print management software that helps organizations track individual printing activity, calculate cost per print, and monitor ink and consumables usage, along with user-friendly design and printing tools. Supported by our after-sales service team and nationwide service network, these solutions help customers maximize productivity, control costs, and plan their businesses with confidence—value that has earned Canon long-standing customer trust.”

A key driver of this success has been 2 flagship models, starting with the Canon imagePROGRAF TC-21, which has been well received in the CAD segment, particularly among small businesses, architectural firms, and design professionals. Combining a compact footprint, ease of use, and sharp print quality, it supports 24-inch large-format printing up to A1+ at a maximum resolution of 2,400 x 1,200 dpi. Its Auto Sheet Feeder also enables seamless switching between roll and cut-sheet media, making it well suited to space-constrained workplaces.

The other flagship model, the Canon imagePROGRAF GP-526S, has gained strong traction in the Graphic Arts segment, particularly for signage, posters, and high-quality graphics. Its 7-color LUCIA PRO II pigment ink system delivers vibrant, professionally accurate colors, while minimum 4-picoliter ink droplets and a 2,400 x 1,200 dpi resolution ensure high-quality output. It also features a 500 GB encrypted hard drive, intelligent print management, and a multifunction roll system to boost productivity and support diverse printing applications.

The No. 1 ranking reflects more than market share — it shows Canon's printing technology delivers real value for customers. “We believe industry leadership is measured by long-term customer trust. Canon will continue to develop new innovations and solutions to be a business partner that grows alongside customers across industries,” Ms. Netnarin concluded.
