Canon Marketing (Thailand) Co., Ltd. led by Ms. Busarin Tangsilapaolarn, Manager of Corporate Communication & CSR Department, delivered 28 kgs of aluminum ring pulls and can lids, which were donated by Canon employees as well as its partners throughout 2024 as part of its "Prosthetic Leg for a New Life" project Year 3 , to the Department of Pollution Control, Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment which has collaborated with the Prostheses Foundation of H.R.H. the Princess Mother to recycle and make prosthetic limbs more affordable for the disabled.

At Canon, we value sustainable environmental conservation as well as the awareness of waste sorting among employees and family members through various CSR activities. This project is also one of our efforts to sort the hard-to-decompose materials into the upcycling process to transform them to new materials. Upcycling helps reduce resource consumption and reduce CO2 from transportation and production process, and ultimately reduce waste. 28 kilograms of the aluminum ring pulls and can lids donated help reduce CO2 emission by 255.56 kgCO2eq.

Canon hopes that this continuous environmental activity will help bring Thais closer to the achievement of reducing greenhouse gas emissions with the effort to "limit" and "eliminate" greenhouse gas emissions into the atmosphere and move towards the Net Zero society soon.
