Rental Conditions
1. The renter must be at least 20 years old.
2. The renter should have an original ID card to show to the staff.
3. The renter shall receive the products according to the list of items as only confirmed by the staff.
4. Please contact us for the product rental in advance, at least 1 business day (no walk-in service).
5. Canon shall not accept advance reservations in all cases because the service depends on the readiness of the rental equipment.
6. Payment for rental fees** shall be made in cash, by bank transfer, or with a credit card. (The rental fee is calculated by including non-working day. Please check non-working day every time in order to return the equipment at the due date.)
7. The deposit shall be made in cash or by bank transfer only.
8. The product deposit shall be 50% of the price of the selected product (by referring to the price of the product on the official Canon website at the date of deposit payment).
9. If the renter holds a CPS* card or a student card, the renter can get a 0-30% discount on the deposit.
10. If the same customer for the second rental or more, the company will give a discount on the deposit.
11. The renter shall receive the full amount of the deposit refund after the rented product is inspected and no damage is found.
12. If the product is damaged or returned later than the specified date in the rental document, additional expenses shall be charged according to the conditions stated in the product rental document.
13. If the customer wishes to terminate the rental, the renter shall notify the company in advance, at least one business day.
14. The contact dates and times for picking up or returning products are Monday – Friday from 9.00 a.m. – 11.00 a.m. and 2.00 p.m. – 4.00 p.m. at the service center of the main office. The service will be closed on public holidays and company holidays. The number of rental days includes holidays in calculating rental fees. Please check the number of rental days with the staff every time before confirming the rental.
15. The objective of this service is to provide service for renting cameras and accessories for being used only in Thailand. The company shall not allow the renter to use the rented equipment outside the country in all cases. In the case that the renter violates this agreement, the equipment gets damaged, or any expenses incurred, the renter agrees to be solely responsible.
16. The customer can rent cameras and accessories not more than 5 items at a time, with the rental period at each time of not more than 7 days, including public holidays. In addition, the renter is informed that the rented cameras and accessories are not new, so the renter is responsible for inspecting the cameras and accessories to see if they are in good condition with appropriateness and correctness according to the renter’s demand and use before signing in the rental agreement for the cameras and accessories. The company shall reserve the right not to take responsibility in the case that products do not conform to the renter’s demand and use, including any damages occurring after signing in the rental form.
17. The renter shall make payment for the rent and the deposit in full amount on the pick-up date. The company has no policy to refund any expense in the case that the renter terminates the rent before the due date.
18. In the case that the renter does not return the rented equipment on the due date and time, the company shall reserve the right to charge a fine equal to 2 times of the normal rental rate per day. In the case that the renter returns equipment later than the specified date and time, the renter shall be responsible for notifying the company in advance, at least 1 business day. If the renter chooses to rent equipment on the company holidays, the renter agrees to comply with Section 13.
19. In the case that the rented equipment gets damaged, the renter shall not repair that equipment by themselves or shall not allow any person to repair it other than the Canon Head Office. If the company finds that the renter violates this agreement, the renter agrees to be fined by the company at the same rate as in the case of camera loss or serious damage, according to Section 19.
20. In the case that the renter does not return the rented equipment in the same condition as received from Canon, the company shall reserve the right to charge the expense of making that equipment to be useable as in a normal condition at the rate of Canon repair service. In the case that the equipment is lost or gets serious damage that it cannot be repaired to a previous condition, the company shall reserve the right to charge damage based on the depreciation condition. The company’s consideration of depreciation and damage shall be regarded as final.
21. In the case that the renter does not return the rented equipment on the due date and the company cannot contact the renter, the company shall reserve the right to fine the renter at 20 times of the price of the rented equipment, and the company shall take legal action against the renter.
22. The renter agrees and acknowledges that the company shall comply with related laws and the privacy notification of Canon.
