    for recycling to Wat Jak Daeng

    Canon Marketing (Thailand) Co., Ltd., led by Mr. Taweesak Teerarattana, Manager of QEHS Department (Quality, Environment, Health and Safety), was the representative to deliver used plastic bottles (PET) and glass bottles donated by employees under the "Greenhouse Gas Knight" project by campaigning for employees to separate used plastic bottles (PET) and glass bottles, collect and give them to Wat Jak Daeng for recycling into monk robes and melting them into Buddha statues on October 28, 2024.

    Canon collected and delivered 279 kilograms of used plastic bottles (PET) and 42 kilograms of used glass bottles from employees who participated in the "Greenhouse Gas Knights" project. These used bottles of plastic (PET) will be sorted and recycled into synthetic fibers that will be made into monk robes. Glass bottles will be crushed and melted to make Buddha images, alms bowls, and glass jars.

    This activity represents one of the company's environmental conservation efforts. Canon Marketing (Thailand) Co., Ltd. is committed to raise awareness about the reuse of waste materials, plastic waste reduction, environmental conservation, and reduction of greenhouse gas emission. In terms of reducing carbon dioxide emissions, which are considered a major cause of global warming, this activity could reportedly reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 838.84 kgCO2e, contributing to the Canon Group Environmental efforts to create a sustainable society and future for future generations.
