This product includes MK Desktop Utility and printer driver for Canon MK3000 and MK5000 Cable ID Printers.

The following items are included in this product:
- MK Desktop Utility
Application software for printing on MK5000 and MK3000 printers.
- MK5000/MK3000 Printer Driver
Software required for printing on MK5000 or MK3000 printers from Windows applications.
Printer Driver Ver.1.2.0.0/ MK Desktop Utility Ver.1.02.0
- Changed the minimum cut length for label tape from 4 mm to 2 mm.
- Added "inches" as a unit for media size.
- Corrected a failure in the printer driver that would cause a "Windows can't verify the publisher of this driver software" message to appear. This message would have appeared when selecting "modify" or "repair" in the InstallShield Wizard after performing an upgrade installation of the printer driver.
Printer Driver Ver.1.1.0.0/ MK Desktop Utility Ver.1.01.0
- Added Printer Driver support for minimum cut lengths of up to 2 mm on Plate media. The printer's firmware must be V.10.02 or newer to use this function.
- Corrected minor software bugs that occur while uninstalling the printer driver.
- Corrected minor Status Monitor software bugs.
- Added a specification where the Status Monitor does not automatically close after printing.
- Changed the operation specification when sending a large amount of print data exceeding the printer memory capacity from the MK Desktop Utility. Refer to the latest User's Guide as some operations have changed.
- Corrected a failure where the MK Desktop Utility default media type unexpectedly changes after restarting the program.
- Corrected a failure where the vertical scroll bar may become disabled when pasting CSV data on the MK Desktop Utility.
- Corrected a failure where the [Print Media] display did not change to "Plate" even if [Plate printing area] was set to "Expansion" in [Edit (E)] > [Format Setting (S)] > [Default Setting (D)] in the MK Desktop Utility.
- Corrected a failure where a cut length can be set to less than 4 mm or 8 mm at [Cut length] in:
[Edit (E)] > [Format Setting (S)] > [Default Setting (D)]
even if print media with a minimum cut length of 4 mm or 8 mm (e.g. Label) is set as [Print media] in the the MK Desktop Utility.
- Corrected a failure where created data cannot be retrieved and displayed in the MK Desktop Utility when the following criteria are performed:
1. Setting [Print Media] to "Wrap Around"
2. Creating and Saving print data and closing the file
3. Opening the file again
- Corrected minor MK Desktop Utility software bugs.

- You must have an access privilege for the printer settings in order to install the printer driver.
- Sign in with an administrator account first.
- Close all running application programs.
- The printer driver uninstaller may fail to run and the driver icon may not be deleted. If the driver icon is not deleted, restart your computer and run the uninstaller again.
Follow the below procedure to install the printer driver:
1. Click [DOWNLOAD] to download the installation program (.exe file).
2. Open the folder where the downloaded .exe file resides. (Check the browser settings to find the save location.)
3. Double click the downloaded .exe to start the installation program.
4. Follow the on screen instructions to complete the installation.
