Canon Joins Hands with AIS to Manage E-Waste Responsibly,
Reduce Pollution, and Create a Greener World

Canon reinforces its commitment to environmental sustainability and responsible business practices by supporting the “Thais Say No to E-Waste” initiative in collaboration with AIS. The project aims to raise awareness among employees about proper electronic waste management, reduce environmental impact, and create value for society.

Canon Marketing (Thailand) Co., Ltd., led by Mr. Taweesak Teerarattana, Manager of QEHS Department, delivered over 500 pieces of e-waste weighing more than 50 kilograms, collected from employees from June to December, to AIS at AIS Tower 1 on December 17, 2025. The waste will be processed under the Zero E-Waste to Landfill principle, helping reduce hazardous waste and greenhouse gas emissions. Proper E-Waste management is crucial because incorrect disposal can release toxic substances such as lead, mercury, and cadmium into soil, water, and air, harming health and ecosystems. Additionally, the E-Waste contributed will support the campaign “Turn E-Waste into Internet for Kids”, where every piece of E-Waste donated will be converted into 1GB of internet for schools in remote areas, promoting educational opportunities and creating sustainable value for society.

Participation in this project reflects Canon’s strong commitment to sustainability and the creation of shared value for society. Canon will continue to support environmental initiatives to help build a better world for everyone.
