Canon Launches EOS R6 V under One Camera, Many Stories Concept and Introduces
RF20-50mm F/4L IS USM PZ as First-Ever L-Series Power Zoom Lens for Multi-Platform Creators

Canon is strengthening its presence in the creator market, reaffirming its leadership in Thailand’s digital camera industry with the launch of 2 new products: the EOS R6 V, a full-frame mirrorless camera in the V-Series lineup, and the RF20-50mm F/4L IS USM PZ, Canon’s first full-frame L-Series lens with built-in power zoom technology. Both products were launched under the One Camera, Many Stories campaign, with the official event held at GRAND HALL, True Digital Park.

At the event, Canon invited 2 leading creators, Khamkwan ‘Jean’ Duangmanee, film director and Sittichai ‘Tor’ Rakpinit, content creator of the DEKSORKRAO channel to share their hands-on experiences with the EOS R6 V, highlighting features tailored for modern creator workflows. These include seamless one-take shooting with flexible vertical cropping from the same footage, extended video recording without overheating concerns, and greater agility for small production teams needing fast scene changes and versatile shooting styles — all within a single setup built to tell every story across every platform.

One Camera, Many Stories through the Eyes of 2 Thailand’s Leading Creators

At the launch event, Canon invited 2 of Thailand’s leading creators to share their hands-on experiences with the new camera. Among them was Khamkwan ‘Jean’ Duangmanee, a Chulalongkorn University graduate in Fashion and Textile who has become one of Thailand’s prominent music video directors, known for acclaimed music videos including Lover Boy by Phum Viphurit and Damsanit by Chulachak ‘Hugo’ Chakrabongse. Recognized for retro-inspired art direction and meticulous color pairing that turns every frame into a work of art, she shared her perspective as a director, saying, “The EOS R6 V offers excellent flexibility and user-friendly functions that help content creators and filmmakers produce video content exactly the way they envision it.”

Meanwhile, Sittichai ‘Tor’ Rakpinit, the creator behind the DEKSORKRAO channel with over 100 million views, shared his experience with the EOS R6 V. Starting out by filming lip-sync videos on a single smartphone in high school, he has since become a photographer, director, and editor with a global following. He is best known for his BLACKPINK cover videos, which precisely recreate the original MVs' camera angles and visual composition. He said, “The EOS R6 V perfectly matches my work and the needs of today’s content creators. EOS R6 V : A New Generation Full-Frame Camera Built for Every Platform

Designed for content creators, the full-frame mirrorless camera features 7K Open Gate recording on a 32.5-megapixel full-frame CMOS sensor, capturing full-sensor resolution in both RAW and MP4 formats. This allows creators to crop horizontal footage into vertical content for social media within a single take, eliminating the need for reshoots. Another key feature for live streamers and interview creators is the built-in cooling fan system, which enables the EOS R6 V to record approximately 3 times longer than the EOS R6 Mark III, making it ideal for long-form interviews, live streaming, and extended one-take productions.

The EOS R6 V also supports vertical-first creators with a built-in vertical tripod mount and an interface that automatically switches to vertical display orientation. A front-facing record button and compatibility with rigs and external accessories further enhance flexibility.

While designed primarily for video content creation, the EOS R6 V also delivers strong still photography performance. Its 32.5-megapixel full-frame sensor offers professional-level detail and wide dynamic range, while supporting continuous shooting at up to 40 fps with the electronic shutter. The camera also features pre-shooting and the same advanced autofocus system as the EOS R6 Mark III.

For filmmakers, the EOS R6 V offers a full range of professional tools in a user-friendly design, including Canon Log 2 and 3, Custom Picture and Custom LUT support, waveform display, 4-channel audio recording, and a standard HDMI Type-A port. Creative features such as Color Filter and S&F (Slow & Fast Motion) mode help users create distinctive looks directly in-camera, while the dust- and drip-resistant body ensures durability in demanding shooting conditions.

RF20-50mm F/4L IS USM PZ : Canon’s First-Ever L-Series Lens with Built-In Power Zoom

Designed specifically for the EOS R6 V, the lens features a compact 98.4 mm design and lightweight 420 g body. Its versatile 20–50 mm focal range supports everything from wide-angle establishing shots to natural close-ups, while the constant f/4 aperture ensures consistent brightness throughout the zoom range.

At the heart of the RF20-50mm F/4L IS USM PZ is Canon’s first-ever L-Series power zoom system, enabling smooth, cinematic zoom transitions. Users can adjust zoom speed across up to 15 levels and instantly switch between power zoom and manual zoom ring control. Its non-extending lens barrel also helps maintain balance on gimbals and rigs without re-adjustment while zooming.

The stabilization system combines 5-axis In-Body IS and Digital Movie IS with the lens’s Optical IS to deliver up to 8.0 stops of image stabilization for still photography. Subject Tracking IS also enhances flexibility across handheld, gimbal, and rig-mounted shooting setups.
